ITINERARY

• 01 Marrakech – Imlil – Azib n Tamsoult

  Depart Marrakech for a 1h30 drive to Imlil (1740m), the gateway to the High Atlas. Meet your guide and mule team, then start trekking to Tizi-n-Mezzik Pass (2489m), enjoying a scenic picnic in a juniper forest overlooking the Azzaden Valley. After lunch, descend into the valley to the summer village of Tamsoult (2250m) and spend the night at a mountain refuge or camp. Trekking: 5 hours.

• 02 Azib n Tamsoult – Agelzim Pass – Toubkal Base Camp

  Climb out of the Azzaden Valley toward Toubkal Refuge, passing Ighouliden waterfalls and Agelzim Mountain (3560m). Stop for a scenic lunch and take in the sweeping vistas of the High Atlas. Overnight at Toubkal Refuge, a hub for trekkers from around the world. Trekking: 7 hours.

• 03 Toubkal Base Camp – Toubkal Summit – Imlil

  Rise early for the ascent to Jebel Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak. Enjoy panoramic views from the summit, stretching from the Atlas to the Sahara Desert. Descend via the well-worn path to Armed Village, where you will spend the night. Trekking: 8–9 hours.

• 04 Imlil Valley – Tizi n’Tichka – Dades Valley

  Drive from Imlil down the valley, passing Asni and Moulay Brahim Gorges, then climb the winding roads to Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Travel through isolated Berber villages and explore the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, stopping in Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses (Kelaat M’Gouna). Overnight in Dades Valley.

• 05 Dades – Todgha Gorge – Erg Chebbi

  Journey through the spectacular Todgha Gorges, then continue to Erg Chebbi. Enjoy a traditional welcome, ride camels into the desert, and spend the night at a luxury desert camp under the stars.

• 06 Merzouga – Marrakech

  Witness a magical desert sunrise, then ride camels back to your hotel in Merzouga for breakfast. Begin the return drive to Marrakech, stopping at Tizi n’Tichka Pass before arriving mid-afternoon.
