This 4-day trekking adventure takes you from Marrakech to the heart of the High Atlas Mountains, combining cultural immersion and high-altitude challenges. Starting in the picturesque Imlil Valley, you’ll hike through Berber villages, visit the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch, and spend nights at the Toubkal Refuge. The highlight of the journey is the ascent of Mount Toubkal (4,167m), North Africa’s highest peak, followed by the climb of the twin summits of Timzguida (4,089m) and Ras n’Ouankrim (4,086m). Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of valleys, waterfalls, and cultivated terraces before returning to Marrakech with unforgettable memories.

ITINERARY

• 01 Marrakech – Imlil Valley – Toubkal Base Camp

  Pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech and drive (1h30) to Imlil Valley, the gateway to the High Atlas. From Aremd village, trek through the Ait Mizane Valley and continue toward the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch, a popular pilgrimage site beside a small waterfall. After lunch, the trail climbs steadily toward the Toubkal Refuge (3,206m), where you spend the night. Trek: 5–6 hours

• 02 Toubkal Refuge – Summit of Mount Toubkal – Refuge

  After an early breakfast, start the ascent of Mount Toubkal via the south cirque. The route crosses scree fields before reaching the summit (4,167m). From the top, panoramic views extend across the High Atlas. After enjoying the summit, descend back to the refuge for lunch and overnight stay. Trek: 5–6 hours

• 03 Base Camp – Twin Peaks – Imlil Valley

  Today’s trek takes you to two additional summits: Timzguida (4,089m) and Ras n’Ouankrim (4,086m). The ascent is slightly technical at certain points, but the rewarding views from the top are unforgettable. After the climb, descend to the refuge for lunch, then continue down to Imlil village for overnight in a guesthouse. Trek: 8–9 hours

• 04 Imlil – Marrakech

  After breakfast, enjoy a gentle walk around Imlil Valley, visiting Berber villages, waterfalls, and terraced gardens. A traditional lunch will be served in nature before your transfer back to Marrakech in the evening.
