ITINERARY

  • 01 Marrakech → Imlil → Toubkal Refuge

    Leave the city behind and head toward the Toubkal Massif. After crossing the Haouz plain and passing Asni, the road climbs into the Atlas foothills and Imlil Valley. Begin trekking from Imlil, passing Armed village and the Sidi Chamharouch shrine. Continue through terraced Berber fields, streams, and valleys, ascending steadily toward Toubkal Refuge. Overnight at the refuge. (Approx. 5-6 hours trekking)

  • 02 Toubkal Refuge → Summit → Armed Village

    Start early for the ascent to Jebel Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak. Navigate scree fields and boulder paths to reach the ridgeline and summit plateau. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains. Descend back to Armed village for overnight stay. (Approx. 9-10 hours trekking)

  • 03 Imlil → Tizi n’Tichka Pass → Ouarzazate → Dades Gorge

    Descend from Imlil Valley and traverse Asni, Moulay Brahim Gorges, and Tahnouaout. Climb the winding roads to Tizi n’Tichka, passing isolated Berber villages. Continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, with lunch in Ouarzazate and a stop at Kelaat Mgouna, the Valley of Roses. Arrive in Dades Gorge for overnight stay.

  • 04 Dades → Todgha Gorges → Merzouga

    Drive through the Dades and Todgha gorges, limestone canyons rising up to 400 m. Continue to Erg Chebbi, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Enjoy camel rides into the dunes at sunset and an evening by the campfire under a star-filled sky.

  • 05 Merzouga → Ait Benhaddou

    Wake up for a spectacular desert sunrise. Explore the dunes again on camelback before driving to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage ksar along the historic caravan route. Discover its fortified architecture and cinematic charm.

  • 06 Ait Benhaddou → Marrakech

    Return to Marrakech via Tizi n’Tichka pass, completing your Atlas and Sahara adventure. Arrive at your accommodation by mid-afternoon.
